the 2012 durango has a max towing capacity of 7400 lbs. And thats with the V8. the V6 is only rated to 5000 lbs. The 233s weighs 4400lbs by itself, and thats before you add supplies, cargo, food, water, propane, etc. I believe the GVWR on the 233s is like 6400 lbs.
I think you are setting yourself up for a hard time. the v6 has a GVWR of 6500# and a curb weight of 4900 leaving 1600 lbs for payload. Figure on a 5500lbs trailer with 10% tongue weight (550#) that leaves 1050#. Figure on a full bag of gas (24 gallons at 7lbs each or 168#) leaves you 882 lbs of stuff you can carry in the truck with you. that includes people and everything else.
If you have the V8 its a little better at 7100# gross.
