Cool Well Hello to everyone!

Just want to give a heart felt shout out to one and all!! I am new here but I've been reading these posts for a short while now. Seems to be really good folks on this forum. My wife and I are currently narrowing down our choice for our 1st TT! So I thought no better time to get more acquainted with all you good people.
So I'll jump right in and ask I'm looking at a few one being-
Coachman Freedom Express 257BHS/ Apex. Also really like Rockwood/Flagstaff and other I'm not sure I can mention. I would love to here any and all input good, bad, or other. It will be nice to get the real straight forward information about the trailer's. My TV is a 2016 Chevy Colorado 4x4 Z71 6-cyl with tow package 7,000lb. rated.
So thank you all for your input sincerely Darin.

Darin,

Welcome and good luck with your search. We have had a couple Rockwoods and have been happy with them. Just make sure you keep your TV capability prior to buying. Do not believe the salesman's word.

We just bought the Freedom Express 257BHS as our first trailer but haven't taken our maiden voyage yet. Our first trip will be in just under three weeks. Like you, we did lots of research and crawled around a few. At the time, I had a 97 F150 that I was planning to tow with for a year or two so we had to keep the trailer on the light side. I found out just before we bought the trailer that my truck was starting to have some issues and then after pulling the trailer home with it, I knew it wouldn't last long so we bought an F250. Truck issues aside, we kept going back to the 257BHS. As it sits in the driveway, it seems to be exactly right for us (we've been hanging out in it just for fun. Lol) I'll be able to let you know more after our first trip or two.

Welcome to the forums! Shopping for an RV can be a lot of fun especially once you have narrowed down the choices. So much good feedback has already been provided. X2 on not believing the salesman about your TV being up to the job of towing. Dry weight usually do not come into play except to rule out an RV from the start.
