We're New Here

Hi Everyone,
My husband Sam & I are longtime campers. Sam camped with his family since he was young. Early in our marriage, we borrowed his parents' equipment; but eventually we bought our own first rig. Our grown kids now have rigs of their own; & when we camp with my brother & sister-in-law & their kids, we pretty much have our own little rally. We got our current Grand Surveyor a few years ago, & this year we are trying our first adventure as snowbirds. We will spend most of February & March at Vero Beach Kamp in Sebastian, Florida. Our dear friends, Lou & Laura (herk7769) will be in Clearwater (Laura is a BIG Phillies fan), so we will go over to visit them for a couple of days & see a game. They will come & hang at our place for a couple of days too. If any of yáll do the snowbird thing, we'd love to hear your helpful hints. Just finding my way around the forum, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it.
Carol

Hi Carol,

to the FR forums! Between your camping history and being a friend of Herk (& Laura) I'm sure you have all bases covered pretty well. Looking forward to hearing about your travels & adventures.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist...Besides, I had to defend myself cuz Lou said our reputations preceded us...hehe Lou(herk) & Laura went out with us on their very first camping excursion to see how they'd like it. We all went in our trailer to Bar Harbor Maine & over to Nova Scotia on "The Cat". After 10 days together, we are still great friends & they still love camping.

if you're friends of Herk, why would you need to join any RV forum?

he's a RV forum on two legs!

seriously, any friend of Herk's, is a friend of everyone here. so welcome!
