What's sup y'all

Hey campers, just coming here to see what's happening and gain some camper maintenance tips. Just purchased my second camper, a Salem 32 bhds and have some serious bathroom odor. Did some searching and have some good insight on things to check into. My first salem was 13 years old and never a problem. So I am certain something is wrong but I'll get it fixed so no worries.

I am towing with a 2013 GMC 4x4 2500 duramax diesel. live about 75 miles from myrtle beach

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your Salem 32 BHDS. Check the roof vent cap for the black tank to make sure insects didn't build a nest and restrict the air flow.

Leak around the seal thru the floor may be the culprit. May want the pull the toilet and check the gaskets. What year is your rig?

well, i flushed the tanks, filled partially with water, put in the orange baggies of whatever that stuff is and some lemon scented grey water treatment.. drove it 20 miles and drained it. odor remained for days, put several ounces of lemon stuff in the grey water, two orange baggies and four full toilest of water in the black tank and the smell is gone a week later. Now, i know crap stinks, and because its gone the scent stuff killed the residual odor, but the problem was what was stated here that i found in a great thread. the vent cap under the sink was only on by one turn. i removed it inspected it and re-installed it. i feel confidant this was where the odor was coming from and suspect it is fixed.

I need to look at that. Our 1/2 bath gets a pretty strong sewer odor periodically.
