If it's anything like our newer rigs, you should hear a click from the disconnect solenoid which will be near the batteries when the switch is pushed. If you are plugged into power then the light will never shut off. Only if you are disconnected from power and press the switch will the light go out but it will do so slowly in most cases. To be sure press the switch in the on postition and use a volt meter to test the voltage at the battery terminals, it should be at or over 13.2 volts. Then press the disconnect, turn on a light inside and wait for about 5 minutes. Go test the voltage again. If it is below 13.2 then the disconnect is working as it has disconnected the battery from the charger. Unplug the rig, you should have no lights at all at this point.

yeah, I had a solar panel on my HTT, Loved it! Worked great. With a 4 battery setup I wondered if 1 would do it. I guess I'll see about getting one.

OH! On a side note, I've seen some links for some little wind turbines meant for RVs and boats. I'm thinking about going with both technologies.

I'm not hearing any click, but I'll wait the 5 minutes and check the voltage. Maybe it's working and I just don't realize it.

Thanks,
Brian

Forrosie,
Hello, we just purchased a used 2002 Reflection diesel pusher with 23000 miles.
We are newbies to the RV world. We wondered the same thing as you. Are there any others out there? Can't find a whole lot of info on them. Most of the manuals are generic. What area of the country are you in?
We are in Dickson TN.
Stay in touch mate.

i bought a 2000 reflection. i was missing several items about
the coach and its accessories.
I called Forest River and told then what i needed. they sent me some origianls items and also copied about 200-300 pages pertaining to the RV. stove. a/c fridge. service.
they charged me $35.00 i even got a new brochure the dealers get to pass out.
she mostly charge me for postage. A box shows up at my door 3 inches think.
I was very pleased to get all that info from them. very usefull for me.

i already had the info books on the cummins diesel, the trans, the rear-end. I'm sure htye all can be purchased.
since then i got more detailed books or pamplets on the onan, and fridge.

if your not willing to pay then u can't get much

my reflection body was built by Spartan.
I have purchase replacement items directly from
Spartan without a problem.

I've also asked them for help with brakes and few other things.
they are always willing to get the info i need.

I've ordered some parts from forest river.
they charged me a fair price.
no complaints with any of them.

2000 35' reflectioncummins diesel 275 HP. 17,000 lbs.

We took the rig for a drive today in a hill area and the Allison tranny seemed to keep downshifting a lot and the Cummins 330 didn't seem to have much pick up entering I-40.
The coach is a Frieghtliner 22000 lbs 33 feet.
Kinda disappointed in the lack of pep.
