Question Windsong get aquainted with stuff

I am a new user to forum and have just purchased a 2000 windsong.

I have a binder full of documentation but there is limited useful information provided.

1 does any one know if there is a shop manual available for this Motorhome and if so where might i get one.

2. Dashboard switches and indicators.
a. There is a switch on the left side of the dashboard - what is it for
b. On the right side of the dash there are 4 switches with indicators and function.
The top one on mine is missing the label and I can't figure out what it is for.

3 When plugged into 110 vac shore power it does not charge the house batteries, they only charge with the generator. This does not seem right. Any ideas.

4. Is there an auxiliary switch to start the generator from the car battery if the house batteries are dead?

any information would be greatly appreciated
thank you

Is there an emergency generator start switch for when the house batteries have been drained and are dead

Switches

Left side switch (aux start)- temporarily connects house batteries to chassis battery. In case you drain your chassis battery, you can still start your engine by pulling up on this switch and holding it while you crank your engine.

To the right of my steering wheel i have switches (starting from left) - mirror heat, ICC, map lights, dash fans, radio. All switches are off or on except for ICC switch and aux start which are on as long as you hold them down.

You would push your ICC switch to flash your outside clearance lights as a "thank you" to trucks who flash their headlights to advise you it is clear for you to change back into the right lane after you pass them.

There is no emergency generator start (at least, i haven't one) for the generator if house batteries are drained.

By the way, there are two (white handle) breaker switches on the side of my 5.5kw Onan generator that are hidden from view (use a mirror on right side of genny). I got caught with that one when i lost haf my power)

Cheers,
Don
