The problem is you will be draining the truck battery all night. It may discharge the truck too low and then your truck won't start. It only takes a few seconds to plug the cord in so why take the chance?

If your worried about forgetting to plug it in stick a note on your steering wheel to remind you. I keep a small tablet there with reminders of things to check before I pull out. The thing I forget the most? Putting the trailer steps up.
