12 volt outlet in Flagstaff M/L 23 LB (rockwood 2306)

Greetings all

we just purchased a Flagstaff 23LB and couldn't be happier.

Question: Do you have any thoughts or feedback on placing a 12 volt outlet in the front of the camper near the night stand??? 'where is a good source of 12 volt power?'

The only 12 volt outlet in the camper is above the dinette... a long way from the front bed.

Thank you for your feedback and suggestions

Darren

I don't have the 2306 but by looking at the floor plan on the FR website I see it has a pass thru storage under the bed. Have you looked there & also inside the trailer in the night stands & under the bed to see if you have any wires. I wired my 12V receptacle into the wires that run to the water pump.

Glad I could point you in the right direction. You have a nice trailer.

Thanks, Emtypockets.

I have some work to do on the camper over the next two weekends and will post some photos -- before and after.

My list includes

12V outlet up front.

Installing those little roller wheels on the skid bars in the back

Cutting a therma-rest to fit between the front window and rock guard (gotta have a little more insulation when it gets cold at night)

and the best part.... the camper is getting some new shoes!!! New tires and 14" rims are on order!

we have the 23lb on order now, im so excited... could you tell me why you are switching to the 14 " tires? just wondering what the benefit is, we asked the dealer and they didnt really seem t think it was a necessary upgrade. did you get the murphy bed option, this was our reason for buying the TT. saves so much room!

Congratulations on the new camper -- you'll really like it. We do not have the murphy bed, but saw that model at the RV show here in Denver.

I have 2 basic reasons for going with the 14" wheel/tire combo... added ground clearance and a heavy duty tire. We visit a lot of Forest Service campgrounds and clearance can be an issue (had this problem with our old camper).

We purchased the camper from a dealer that was over 750 miles away. It towed great with the 13" rim/tire combo. You'll have no problem with that setup.

Finished the project today and it was an easy install. Thanks for the input!
