Our FR dealer opened a new sales and service facility about 20mi up the road and moved the FR lines and a couple others out of the main facility so they could bring in some other lines/ brands that do not play well with FR.
I went to check out the new digs and did a tour of the 16/ 17 models. The new 3010 had a flip up TV and a shelf behind instead of a solid panel with no access behind and a swing out TV in the BR.
I had them order a flip up mount for the main TV, a tall/ long rh inside door grab handle. DW is 5'1" and some times needs an xtra up to make the first step.
I also am in the middle of installing 200w solar charge system. Panels are mounted and wired into the cabinet be hind the TV I will be mounting and wiring charge controller next week.
TV is finished along with all inputs from DVD. VHS player, computer, x box + more. I also rewired the 12vdc to the tv to get rid of the plastic fuse holder that gets hot and melts
, replaced with an inline blade fuse holder and installed a inline on off switch on both TV's . TV's are on all the time causing a big parasitic load on batteries.
Behind the flip up TV I made 2- 6" deep shelves for a pantry.
The BR TV now swings out for easy acess to storage area. I have flat bead trim ordered to frame out the TV door frame.
Last pic is what was behind the fixed panel the TV was mounted too.
I have already converted the 30A electrical to 50 amp. Wired in and installed a 2nd 15k Coleman A/C heat pump, makes half the noise of the Dometic. At 120+ in the shade here in the desert; one A/C does not cut it!! Do not have to turn TV volume up to max while watching TV when only 1 A/C is needed, the Coleman A/C. Installed 3 Fantastic fans in BR, Bath, Kitchen with weather covers.
Thinking of what to do next.
