2008 Lexi 283 GTS Mods

I know others have done mods similar to ours. Their postings and "how to's" helped us in getting our mods done. Thank you for your postings and here is ours.

Pic1 is the drivers side entertainment view original no changes.

Pic3 Our mod for the front passenger side. Original was just a frame around the original tube TV, a 20in screen. Removed the frame, discarded the TV, mounted the frame on a 5/8s in piece of plywood, mounted a 24in LED TV with appropriate openings behind for the wiring, colour coded the paint used hinges and hardware to mount the "door" so it swings up as the drivers side.

Pic4 The TV door open and new storage behind. The door is held up with shock struts the same as the drivers side door.

Pic5 The original half time conv/micro died and was discarded. Replaced with a new conv/micro, used old trim with some minor mod to the trim, masked the original micro control panel and spray painted black-the black bar above the micro and the end result is a presentable new cooking area.

tj, we have a 2012 283ts, and I've done a lot of mods to it also.
One thing I found is an extra space behind a false panel under the kitchen sink. It's to the right of the drawers. The panel pretty much just pushes in, and behind it is a nice large cubby hole. I lined it, bukilt a small raised floor, and its perfect for large tall items, like a collapseable broom, large cutting board, and my large griddle.
Also, if you remove the dienette cushions, and remove the thin plywood panal, you'll find two large hidey hole spaces behind the back of the pull out drawers. Perfect place to hide stuff while your out.

Thanks for your suggestions. I knew about the underseat space. The space by the sink seems to be more cutoff by the slideout in our model. Don't think it would be usable by us.

It's a perfect place to install a safe, I had mine there
