2018 28TBUD modifications

I was figuring of starting a build thread for my trailer. So far we love it. Been getting out at least once a month sometimes twice. Living in the desert there is a lot of wide open camping.

So to start my modification was two deep cycle group 29. Each are rated 120 amp hr and I am going to run them in parallel.
I had to re build my tongue battery box and move everything back about 5” or so.

Really cleaned up the factory wiring ran it along the frame well as well as the emergency brake controller. Modified two box lids to sit side by side.

Going to build a lock bar system to keep them safe.

After our trip next week my next step is to put my 2 Sharp 125 Watt solar panels in the roof and 50A charge controller.

Whipped out the plasma cutter, a bunch of scrap metal, and a old cargo basket to make a rear storage deck. Mounts bolt onto the bumper have enough trailer hitch stock that I can do a center plug facing up so when I don’t need the tray I can mount it up and down. It’s the little things that make me happy lol.
