26dbh small mods

Good evening all. Hubby and I have a one year old Grey Wolf 26dbh. There isn't much we'd change about it. We do love it we just made a few simple mods to get ready for our camping season.
1) windows in entry doors - adds sooooooooo much light
2) backsplash (peel and stick) in the kitchen and bathroom. Seems to finish it off.

Anyone else doing mods? Would love to see pics. Thinking of doing something in the pantry and maybe in the front under storage.

I really like that window mod, thinking of doing one on my 274DBH. Where did you get the window? Our trailer is really dark, I think the window would help a lot.

Best of luck to you. Hard to control light I have the opposite problem. Windows let in too much light. Wife hates it.

Klrobert - they really do help brightens it up instantly. Got the window kits from our local trailer parts store

Holmes42 - I'd like to add windows to our doors too. Any details about the process you can share? Was it "simple" to do? Did he take the door off or do it while still on the rv?

Just remember to put lots of masking tape on outside around the "new" opening so your sabre saw will no scratch the outside metal surface.....Drill a hole and start sawing..You can put frosted peel and stick plastic ($$ Store) on the inside surfaces of each window to cut down light...j

Peel and stick tiles - 1.5 packs for kitchen and bathroom.

Windows in doors - easy to do. My hubby did each one in about an hour. Set up is key. Get the entire kit with frame, sealer tape, frosted glass. I can't believe how much difference it made in the trailer this weekend.

Holmes 42... We just got our new 2017 26DBH and the first thing I noticed is the Windows need to be tinted and the doors need Windows... I was wondering if you could help out with some tips/instructions on how to go about locating and cutting out hole for Windows... Did you just tape off outside and go to town with Zaw saw hahaha

I have 26dbh and put the 5% tint on all windows. This had also cit down on the heat in the summer also.

I was thinking of going a little lighter... I also thought about doing 5% but think it might be hard to see out at night... Can you still see pretty easily at night with 5%??

I have 5‰ on the bedroom and bunk windows. It's hard to see out in the day... Let alone the night.

Awesome mods there. Thank you for sharing those great ideas. Cutting the door to add the window was slick. I'm not brave enough to try that, yet.
