2nd ac

Picking out accessories to install on our 36QBOK.
Would like 2nd ac. Preferred low profile.

Is a heat pump, an ac with an electric furnace built in??
Any good?
Cons?

Would like it to be non ducted, just so we don't freeze the boy, in the bunk.
Suggestions?
Ha! Also thinking about a combo washer/dryer...

Mine is an older 36QBOK (one of the first off the line; bought in July 2012).

Mine is just a regular Dometic 13k A/C with no heat pump & regular height.

Secondly, don't worry about freezing out the kids in the bunks. Unless things have improved, I actually debate a 3rd A/C and heat for the kids back there more than anything else.

Combo washer dryer are a personal preference. Reviews range from - they're great to I hate it. If you get ones- get a vented one and make sure you follow the instructions so that you don't end up with a wrinkly mess of clothes.

I'm not any help on the heat pump for the second AC. i did not even know they existed until after we purchased our new camper. It seems to me like a worth while idea depending on the cost. I am interested in hearing input from those that have them. The same goes for heat strips in their AC unit.

As for washer/dryer combo, we have kicked that idea around as well. We have connections for washer& dryer in out camper. I have read that loads are very small and take a long time to get thru the process. So thus far we have decided not to go that route. If we can ever full time that may change

I installed a vented washer/dryer in my Wildcat last winter. Two days and it barely fit. #%&@#.

We have the Splendide washer dryer vented combo. Glad we have it but it takes forever to do laundry. Nice for smaller loads not so good for a whole family loads. Can take up to 3 hrs. For one load and find I have to remove clothes from washer, shake them out and put them back to finish drying or I get a very wrinkled load. Depends on if you want to lose the storage space.

It's the same in our Splendide but DW would rather do a load or two daily vs spending a few hours at the laundry mat.
