3050DS rear ladder add on

Just picked up our used ( new to us!) 2016/15 3050DS-CD. It has no rear ladder and I would like to add one. I have been advised by the dealer that because of the full side slide for the bedroom, there is not enough supports to add a ladder. Dealer would have to remove back wall and add blocking, which would be very expensive. Has anyone else faced same problem and have possible solution.
Thanks

3050DS rear ladder add on

Normally if it didn't come with a ladder it cannot be added without great expense as you've found.

We are adding a ladder to our 2016 2306 because it didn't have one. The dealer took our VIN & contacted the factory rep & they said we could add a ladder. They said that after a certain date ( I can't remember) they added the blocking to all trailers.

Good to know. I'll look into this further when we travel south this winter. Hopefully the dealer in Arizona will be a bit more knowledgable.

Finally got the ladder on the back of our 2016 FR Rockwood 2306. Turned out very expensive for a $120 option from the factory, lol. Click image for larger version

Ra at, if you don' t mind me asking how many hours did the dealer charge you for this work? Still trying to see how dealers come up with some of these times. Had my local dealer quote me 11 hours to do a wired back up cam and 2-3 hours to do a wireless setup. Ended up getting the wired ( ran it myself inside under a raceway as I added an extra HDMI and Cat5 cable from rear to front for future use) and dealer charged me 31/2 hours to do the camera work as well as add an XM radio head unit and auxiliary power switch to the Jensen.

In my original quote, they told me 1 1/2 hours. When it came time to install it, they said it should've been 2 1/2. Told them no, so they did the original quote. Definitely could have done it myself, but didn't know where the braces were at the time. So, $125 for ladder, $135 for shipping, $250 for the installation. In the $250, there were some "incidentals", like sealers that raised the install cost a little.
