Can do it either way, pushing the bar is just easier for lazy people like me. Plus, it's a conversation pc and I wanted to see if I could do it.

No it's what he meant, now he doesn't have to open the slide to close the door that's why he has the bar, other then that you have to open the slide to close the door. There is nothing to pull on to shut the screen door without opening the slide. He took 2 steps out and made one step that keeps it closed very smart. You are right you can just push down on that big knob to open it but now he can just leave it closed all the time (the slide) and just use the push bar to open and close from the inside.

Well, you learn something every day. My new TT has the big knob also, but i didn't know you could open the screen door by pushing it down. Thanks.
