Indeed, I stand corrected. The jumper is on the split phase wiring system, but you aren't shorting anything that has power on it, because you don't have split phase coming.

This leads to another interesting issue. My Magnum Inverter panel asks me to tell how many amps I have on my shore power: 15, 20 or 30. I assume it knows it has 50 if it sees 220 volts between the hot sides.

But, the Magnum also says that it will shut off circuits that aren't being used to keep within the power limits. Is it only doing that when inverting from battery power, or does this load management also work when on shore power? If it works when on shore power, it might not be necessary to join the two sides together, because the Magnum could handle the necessary transfers.
