5th wheel sewer hose?

For those of you with 5th wheels, what accommodations have you made to carry it? With my 285 dlr Arctic Wolf I installed a 6" thin wall pipe just behind the front legs.

Separate plastic tote tubs for the different types of hoses. Black, gray, fresh.

Clear Rubbermaid plastic locking lid tote big enough to store all of my sewer system accessories that fits in the basement.

I can fit one of my Rhino hoses in the rear bumper...but I don't.

On our old camper, we did the vinyl fence post mod for the sewer hose. I then took a small storage box and zip-tied it to the bumper for the various accouterments ("Y", elbow, black tank flush hoses). Worked a treat.

The new camper came with the "Valterra Sewer Hose Storage Tube". It holds about 20' of hose. I kept the storage box and just keep that in the basement hatch for extra hose and the goodies. I was just telling my wife that I'd like to add some vinyl fence posts onto this camper for more storage and to get it out of the basement hatch.

We have a plastic tote tub for our sewer hoses (and I use the RhinoFLEX that condenses down), another for all my cable/satellite TV cables, etc. and another for our chocks and another for our water hose and a really big one for our 50-amp power cord. And another for tire-changing tools and various supplies.

It makes for extremely good use of storage space, looks neat and is easy to get to anything we need. It's the first time in 17 years of RVing that I've been this organized - and I get a lot of compliments on the neatness from other campers around me.

Separate storage totes and each is labeled as to what is in them.

Our 5th wheel has a bumper so the Rhino goes in there and a plastic tub for the accessories.

I put 2 hose sections in the back bumper which are used on a regular basis. 2 extra sections are stored in a tote in the basement waiting to replace the others.

I put mine in the rear bumper. The bumper is approximately 4"x4"x 8'. I also have a good supply of light hazardous material gloves located near my dump valves. Wife bought the gloves from a janitorial supply store.

I'm able to store 2 lengths of hose in my rear square bumper. It didn't come from the Dealer with end caps but they were easy to purchase from Amazon. In addition I purchased a piece of 4" black ABS pipe with fittings and screw caps at both ends and strapped it to the top of the bumper for additional hoses. Been working great for me.

We have several of these type of containers we carry in our trailer and we like them so much we have a bunch around the house we use for storage.

In the trailer I keep 2 in the basement, one for fresh water and one for sewer. The fresh water one has a 10' and a 20' blue Camco hose, I also have a small bin inside that has the regulator, all my miscellaneous fittings and pliers in it.

In the sewer bin I keep everything I normally need. 2 Valterra Viper hoses I think a 10' and a 20', all the connections we normally need, rubber gloves, black tank flush hose and such.

In the front compartment I keep about 40' of sewer hose and a couple of fittings in a smaller bin for backup and in another bin about 75-100' of blue water hose.

We keep the extras up front because I have had hoses fail and have left fittings at the "last" RV Park we stayed in, this way it's no big deal if we have a problem or a brain fart.

I keep three totes in the basement storage. One for Sewer (Adapters, Flush hose, etc) and one for Freshwater (Adapters, Fresh water hose, Camco filter, Pressure regulator, etc), and one for Electrical (Adapters, CATV cable, AC Extension Cord, Small Leaf Blower, etc). The stinky slinky stores under the RV in a 4" fence post carrier I installed.

I also carry charcoal for the grill in a 5 gallon Home Depot bucket with a leaktite screw top lid. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Leaktite...MMA6/203205720

Happy camping,
C
