a mod I did but forgot to post
this one about 2 months ago. I want to upgrade to dual t145 golf cart, so I needed a box. I didn't like the plastic ones, and the aluminum is just to expensive. so I made this from an old toolbox I salvaged. I made up a brake to bend the aluminum, bent up the box then gave a local weld shop $35 bucks to weld it up. With the stainless snaps, aluminum vents, vinyl tubing for edging, and plywood I think I have less than $50 into it.

That is a fantastic mod! I'm curious, are the two vent holes you have enough to vent the gasses completely or am I just being paranoid?

plenty of air..
..will get in there. the lid isn't air tight, although I put a vinyl tube around the top of the box. The vinyl is just for noise.
I just checked and there isn't any moisture inside the box. The batteries have been charging since sunday after a 3 day trip. I would expect moisture present or even the smell of acid if more ventilation is needed.

Bottom line. Great MOD and great job on the design and install.
I'll be right over to pick mine up.
