A simple mod to the Battery 12V system

Went to my local Marine supply store, purchased a 12 V battery disconnect switch, 24" battery cable. Here is the mod to prevent the battery from going dead when stored. Also will prevent anyone from messing with the landing gear.

I also purchased a nice runner to protect my carpet and "SLICK STAIRS". Had to use 2" wide sticky "VELCRO" stickum to hold the stair pad in place. The runner material came from "LOWES". Velcro came from WALLY-WORLD!

Nice mods! Looks like that battery switch is in a compartment, so nice choice on the "spark proof" marine model!

How much for the switch? I'm thinking it would be a nice safety feature and aid in any low voltage service or upgrades. You know how it is always looking for another project.

I installed a Marinco switch that I bought at Camping World. A nice feature is that the knob can be removed for security reasons. Also, these switches can be "ganged" if for example you want to have a backup battery (or set of batteries) and the ability to easily switch from one bank to the other.
