Ac noise mod

Does it seem your AC makes more noise than it did when you first purchased your RV. Mine DID, and I discovered a fix. I noticed the AC made more noise from the rear than the front. I first thought it may be something vibrating in or around the compressor area. I removed the AC cover looking for the problem. I noticed the rear bottom of the AC base pan was sitting on the roof. I guess with two years of age let the rear of the AC case sag due to the weight of the rear coils and compressor along the fan weight settle down onto the roof. I purchased a cheap 1/4 " thick foam mat (kitchen or door) from Lowe's in the carpet department. I cut a piece of the mat 6" wide and
18" long. Raised the rear of the AC case just enough to slide the foam mat material under the case between the roof and the bottom of the case. Let case settle back down on the foam pad. What a difference in the noise.

If you have this noise problem, this is a cheap fix.
