Added storage to 2306

With kids I was always struggling to stay organized. So I built these storage units down each side.Click image for larger version

Where did you get the tool boxes from? Can you get pics of how you installed them? That is an awesome mod.

I sure like it!
Would love some details.
If you custom built those boxes, you best be ready to start production....

Added storage to 2306

I searched and searched to try and find some reasonably priced aluminum truck underbody tool boxes, but just couldn’t find anything that the dimensions worked. So having said that I just went ahead and built them out of 3/4 ply and weather proofed the exterior, and painted the interior. To attach them used some large self drilling screws up and out the backs, going completely overboard for piece of mind they will never come down.

Also I modified a truck lumber rack and paired it with a basket designed to go behind a Jeep to make use of the hitch for storage. With both these mods it has made it much more enjoyable to bbq outside because everything I need is outside, and packing up to leave is much simplified. Click image for larger version

Super cool thread stateparked.
Both your storage solutions are something I've never seen.
