Adding a fireplace?

Has anyone added an electric fireplace to their alpha wolf? I would love to add a fireplace to my alpha wolf 29qb-l. I was wanting to add it under the tv but I’m not sure the wall is deep enough for a built in fireplace. Is there any way to safely hang a 45-50 pound wall mounted fireplace on an interior wall?

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. Do you have the circuits to handle a fireplace? you may try the search function at the upper right of the page there are many articles about fireplaces and mods.

I’m hoping to add a circuit for it. I’ll do a search here as well. Thanks!

I'd imagine that like everything else in the trailer there are 2-3 companies that make 99% of the fireplaces. Etrailer has a bunch listed. I've also read (somewhere on the internet) of people going to walmart/home depot and buy a free standing fireplace then removing the out enclosure and installing as needed.

As for hanging it - make sure you hit stud(s) with it. If spacing doesn't work out, I'll often mount a 1x8 to the wall and make sure that hits studs and then will mount whatever I'm hanging to that.

We thought the fireplace in a rv was silly.

Boy, were we wrong.

We found we use it a lot!

We were at a 30 amp campsite Columbus weekend. Ran it for three days. The gas heat only ran a few hours.

And the ambiance factor. Looks nice.

I may have to do that. I’ve never hung anything that heavy in the rv. Thanks!
