Adding a MaxxFan in the front vent

Hi all! As a recent hurricane passed over us here in Florida, the only "damage" our 2016 2504S suffered was some minor water intrusion from the front vent area (thankful it was just that!). This got me to think about putting a vent cover just like is in the bathroom, so I ordered one. Now I want to go with a little overkill and install the same fan assembly in the front area. My only concern is a power feed. Does anyone know from experience if there is a line already there? I don't trust my local dealer as they misplaced the rig once before and it took three weeks just to start working on it. Any help is appreciated!

take off the trim ring around the vent and locate the power cords, then install the fan yourself... very easy to do.

Remove the interior vent trim ring and you should be able to see 12v wires tucked away in the ceiling.

Great fan for over the bed

I installed a fan that has remote control. It saves climbing on the bed and getting up at night. More bucks but worth it.

Easy to install, on mine the wires were already there.
If not, you can easily tap on any nearby light.
The hardest and most time consuming part is remove thesealant around the old vent cover on rv roof !

Powered vent fan in front

My vent was not prewired so I drilled through the Styrofoam towards the cabinets which have 12V LED lights, and ran the wires to the lights. Those two lights are not run off of the wall switch, but individually switched. So wire to the always live side. A little more work but fast and cheaper than a CW.

Pretty Easy Job

When I installed our fan up front there were many wires running past the vent which made it a challenge to pick the right wire. I went back to the fan in the bathroom, took the skirt down and checked the colours of the wires that ran to the fan, Looked for the same coloured wires up front and it worked out fine. Good luck with the installation, it will make a big difference.

Regarding the addition of a Maxx-Fan, Roos and Shamrocks (hybrids) come with 2 fans, standard; Mini-Lites and Micro-Lites have only one, in the bathroom. Does anyone know the rationale? Are the hard-sided trailers inherently cooler, and therefore need less vent power?

I ask because we're moving from Shamrock to a Mini/Micro-Lite and I'm curious as to why the latter come with only one fan. If it were just economics, why would FR put two fans in the hybrids?
