Adding cabinet doors?

We just picked up our 2014 Forest River Wildwood X-Lite 262BHXL Travel Trailer.

This our second camper our first one was a Trail Cruiser 26QBH

So far we love it our first trip is in May!

Unfortunately there is so wasted space that I wish could be used for storage. My question is does anyone know if I could get other cabinet doors that we could purchase that would match?

Also has anyone added storage to this unit? Any ideas are welcomed!

It is an open book, and it is yours, do what you want with it. Remember the supports and front to back and side to side weight issues.

Take a door off and go to Home Depot, Lowes, Mernards... etc and see if they can match something up.

We're looking at the same thing with our Hemispherre 282. We opted out of the outside kitchen, gave us a lot of extra storage space reachable from the outside, but can't utilize it from the inside. Could provide a lot more inside kitchen storage by removing the panels under the counter and putting in some shelves and matching cabinet doors.

Have you checked to see if Forest River will sell you some?

You could also have a cabinet maker build you matching doors.

My BIL got a set through our dealer for his OHC in the bedroom. He replaced the dead panels and now has 4 doors across instead of the original 2.

We might also look at drawers with supports and drawer slides. Never enough drawers in the kitchen

Food for thought

You could remove the doors from the bathroom if they are the right size and use them in the room where you want to add the new door. Then pick up any design door that will match the color of the cabinets to reinstall in the bathroom. No one will pick up on the different doors as they will be in different rooms.

Great idea. We have an open space in our 346qbud. Tried having our dealer order a set of doors and they did. But doors we're wrong size and dealer said any other doors ordered would not fit.
