Please read the battery FAQ in the Forest River FAQ forum. There are some very specific qualities required of battery bank batteries; from how they are wired together to how they were made.
1) Ideally, exactly the same manufacturer, model, recharge cycles and age
2) NEVER use car starting batteries (totally wrong for the application - see FAQ if it says CCA on the outside; they are the wrong type)
3) If they are 12 volt batteries they must be wired as shown below to evenly charge and discharge without over working any one battery in the bank. For this to work see item number 1
4) if they are 6 volt batteries they must be connected in 12 volt "cells" to evenly utilize charging and discharging cycles.
