Adding Scissor Jacks to middle of trailer
I own a 2010 Ultra Lite 2607 that has the single arm jacks at all four corners. I was thinking of adding more stability to the trailer by installing scissor jacks just in front of the wheels. Has anyone ever done this on this model of trailer? Reason being, the propane line that feeds the side kick grill and refridge runs down the one side of the frame rail and appears to be in the way. I didn't know if this can be pushed out of the way just enough to get the jack installed or not and was looking for someone who ran into a similiar situation before.
I was at harbor freight the other day and found a pair of scissor jacks that support 5,000 lbs but I'm only looking to add more stability and not lift the trailer. The price was good but didn't know how to handle the side with the propane line. I was thinking of getting the self tapping screws and using those to ease installation after I drilled the pilot hole. What are your thoughts and ideas on how to overcome this issue?
