Additional outlets in kitchen

I needed extra outlets in the kitchen of my 2801QS. Not wanting to put holes in the walls, I installed a 3" board screwed into the bottom of the cabinet and the counter. This allows me to mount an A/C power strip. Not the prettiest but it works.
Under the cabinet also serves as a good place to mount my paper towel holder.

Finally finished this. I found just the right size trim at Lowe's. Simple, I know, but my skill level and patience for this stuff is limited. I sure am learning a lot.

Just a thought (from a none DIY type person) but whatever outlet you plug the power strip into, are you not risking the potential overload of the breaker for that outlet circuit when you then plug other appliances in to the power strip? One would assume you intend to have multiple appliances plugged in simultaneously, hence the reason for wanting more outlets.

This isn't meant as any form of criticism, just an observation from someone who holds no credentials in electrickery.

Hutch333id: You are correct. I am still limited to 15 amps on the circuit, but I needed the strip anyhow to plug in the coffee maker (since its cord is too short to reach the outlet on the bottom of the cabinet), and a vertical mounted outlet for my voltage meter. Now I also have a space to hang other small items, if desired without drilling into the wall.

You can also add many small electronic device chargers without overloading the circuit as these things seem to breed when you are not looking.
