After market Chevy radio upgrade

I've only 150K on my '06 Chevy Duramax and would like to keep it for another 100k or so. DW loves her satellite radio in her HRV Honda and I have to agree it's really pretty cool. What after market radio have you installed. What would you recommend that would have satellite reception etc.?

Crutchfield.com. Better yet, call them.

If you have Sirrius XM (not sure about the others) you can add an internet service and get an app that you can stream XM to. I think it is $4 a month added to the contract. My wife has a lifetime XM on her car and I added the streaming to the web/phone. Not I have Sirrius XM radio everywhere I go and DW has it on her phone too.

I put in a Pioneer and added a backup camera and crutchfield included satalite module with it.

My 05 have statelitte radio in it. You might be able to find an oem radio with xm on ebay. You can buy an xm radio that will broadcast to an fm frequency.

If you go aftermarket to replace the radio, crutchfield is the place to go.

I'd definitely go with a double din size.
I put a regular after market in an economy car we drive daily and the radio works great but the tiny buttons and display suck.... I put a double din in my 04 Silverado a couple years before I traded it and I liked that one much better! And the sirius radio is a great thing on long haul trips!
Another vote for Crutchfield as well...

If your GM radio has a "BAND" button, no need to upgrade to a different radio head. "Isimple" sells a gateway kit with all everything you need, plug and play. Then for a Sirius XM receiver take a look at the SVX300 Connect Vehicle Tuner Kit. It is a small receiver that gets located under the dash and interfaces your GM radio head through the Isimple Gateway Kit. That way you can use your factory radio to tune in Sirius XM stations. The SVX300 also comes with 3 months of free Sirius XM. Takes about 20 minutes to install and activate.

I also installed a Pioneer head unit when our 2013 Silverado was new. Also installed a Boyo full license plate frame backup camera at the same time. Though is has all the features, I use it primarily for GPS and the backup camera. Both have been flawless. I have now installed one in our Jeep Liberty for the same purposes.

Thanks Kydan.
That's the size I've been considering.
