Airbag Install 2011 Silverado 2500HD

Installed the Firestone Riderite bags Sunday. It took 2 hours in the drive. Pretty painless as no drilling was required. I also have the B&W companion and I had no problems with compatibility. Can't wait to see how the 5er handles on next trip..

Looking to move to a 5er and wondering if I might need air bags. The models I'm looking at have just over 1000 lb pin weight (rear kitchen model 8280WS). Did you mount a remote in the cab somewhere?

I did not install onboard compressor....yet. I ran separate lines through the frame out to the rear. I then used the two license plate holes for the air fittings. I bored out the license holes and mounted the plate over air fittings. Looks clean and is easy access.

That would be an even easier install for and work just as well!
