Another Sewer Hose Storage Mod

I needed a storage area for my sewer hose on my Crusader and I wanted a clean look here is what I came up with.

I knew I wanted at least 5 inches so I could store my graduated adapter end so I settled on 6" PVC pipe and found this product Buyers Conduit Carrier Kit, Model# CC600 (Found on Norther Tool for $54.99 with a discount code).



Here is what it comes with.



I then purchased a 10' piece of 6" PVC pipe (about $23.99 at Home Depot).



I cut the PVC to 74" (I should have gone long as I could for more storage but at the time it looked good and tucked away) and painted it black.



I had to make a spacer for the one side because of the LP line, I used a few pieces of 1/8 aluminum flat stock and stacked them.



I then clamped the saddle bracket to the frame and drilled the holes for the "U" bolts.



I mounted PVC pipe slid the end caps on and tightened the "U" bolts. Then secure the end caps with stainless self taping screws on the end cap side and I used button bolts on the access side so nothing would snag when sliding out.






Then I picked up a piece of plastic gutter and cut it to size so everything can slide out easily.





I put a carabiner just for added security that the cap won't open but also a lock can be used.

I also plan on drilling a few small holes in the bottom for drainage and ventilation.

Done! Total project time was about 4 hours and cost under $100 with miscellaneous little nuts bolts and paint.

That is awesome. It looks so professional and clean.

The door end is attached to the PVC with small bolts? I seem to see the bolt heads in the pic. Is that true? How does the other end attach? Did you just put screws into the PVC?

Looks like the Nuts are on the Outside. Flat Hd fasteners Cosunk on the inside! Youroo!!

I seen this the other day in there recent mailed out spring book.

I was thinking it'd be great for awning matt and or awning shade!

Annnnnnndddd ANOTHER option


This box is specifically designed for a Lippert WasteMaster Sewer system BUT it will work to store any sewer hose. They were selling them at Goshen last year for $50.00 It holds a 20' sewer hose, the big WasteMaster Nozzle, a sewer wrench, 3 adapters and still has room to spare (BTW, I like the WasteMaster better than a RhinoFlex It is a LOT more expensive than a Rhinoflex though )

FYI. Amazon has a similar conduit kit for a little cheaper. I just ordered 2 for myself (one for the stinky slinky and one for my mat). Can't wait til they get here. Thanks for the idea!

Yes the door end I used some button head allen bolts a washer and with nylon lock nuts on the outside so the gutter slides over them easily. The other end I used some self tapping screw, I predrilled them a little so they would go in easier. The caps are also very snug I had to use a soft mallet to tap them on. Might be able to see the bolts a little better with this pic.

They also sell the kits in 4" an 8" (if you can find 8" PVC). The 8" might work real well with the lager mats.
