Any good suggestions for replacing those flimsy access panels?

I've got a bunch of those access panels that are made of what, 1/8" luan? and screwed into equally flimsy anchors. They are a nuisance to open and I think they look bad - especially over time as the screw holes get chewed up.

I've got some ideas for replacing them but I'd like to hear what others have done.

Thanks

Sure. One panel is to get to my HW Bypass valves and the other is to get to the shore power cable bay. Granted, I don't need to get to these areas often but it's irritating when I do and, as I said, I don't like the look.

I'm also always looking for things to upgrade/modify.

It looks like you have plenty of room for some sticky-velcro but I would only use an inch or so on the top and bottom...else it would be a bear to remove!

Measure the hole got to the hardware store and make or buy a cabinet door door to fit the hole. Take a hinge and a knob from another cabinet with you so you can get something similar. Doors like this at Lowes Shop Shenandoah Grove 14.5-in x 14.56-in Bordeaux Cherry Square Cabinet Sample at Lowes.com

You can get unfinished ones and stain to match your inside.

maybe the dealer could just ask FR to make you a door the right dimensions. they do accommodate this way at times. usually a reasonable price too.

Definitely need to visit the blue specialty drawers at LOWES. They have some T-nuts that might work. Also ask for a scrap piece of Luan. Cut and stain for a re-fit.
