I'm waiting on the weather to break so I can get outside and take measurements for the mods I have planned before we take her out on March 22. Planned mods include
1) landing gear stabilizers
2) new bunk support legs/artist's easel for the flip up bunk
3) rebuild grill swing arm for longer length and bigger grill
4) install fridge fans
5) build sewer hose storage under frame
6) build pin box bike rack
Have most of the hardware, steel, and components sitting in the shop. Just don't want to work outside in 20* weather and 20mph winds. It's gotta let up sometime. Right?

Not much of a mod but I did get tired of ripping my arm every time I reached to get something out of the closet on the sharp edge. So I helped this. It still hurts but no more blood.
to this

Nope....mine is covered up with an ADCO cover and tucked in for the winter. Too cold to do mods here, so I spend time researching and thinking about new stuff or places to go.

Just installed my laminate flooring.
Installed my fireplace.
Did my granite tiles in the kitchen and bathroom.
Extended bathroom counter by a foot.
added more shelves to all bigger cabinets.
modified kitchen counter extension.
added reflectix to all interior walls in the cabinets and pass-thru including the doors.
separate 110 volt plug for fireplace.
added shelves to wardrobe closet.
Have a few more things to get done before we go full-time.

I have a fantastic fan (with remote) sitting on the table waiting for a warmer day to be installed. We are going to replace the plain vent in the living area. Just too cold and nasty to play outside this week. :-(

We are gathering the items now so I can hopefully open the popup camper in a few weeks and get to work.
Planned things include:
1) Cutting board lid for the sink to provide more counter space
2) Additional door clip for when we have the full door on, to hold it open while we load things into the camper.
3) Change interior and step lights over to LED. Have the part numbers ready to order, just haven't ordered them yet.
4) Move the COAX jack for the TV. Currently on the side of the cabinet and when plugged in, you can't access the underseat storage. Want to blank that off and move it to the top of the counter in the back.
We just picked up a Thetford Curve Porta Potti for this year too (I have 3 daughters under 9 yrs).

Added a front curtain (reflectix), vent covers and lined windows w/ reflectix (pics to follow)
REALLY insulated well - down to teens/20s and easily kept mh at 72 (was 78 until we turned the space heaters down)

Just picked mine up and have a heated shed so I am going crazyyyy.
So far
Enlarged battery door and put two 6 volt Deka deep cycles in (215 AH).
Installed my 55 amp multi stage, temperature compensated battery charger in battery compartment.
Rerouted battery vent line to match battery case.
Replaced door piston with clip so I can open the door all the way.
Installed Omnipure water filter and spigot.
Installed Intellijacks.
Put adjustable leg on one side of landing jacks.
Flipped the 50 inet connecter 180 deg to match the 90 deg angle adapter I bought.
Hung TONS of hooks, hangers in the interior for our stuff.
Still to do::::
Stabilizers.
Move Spare tire from back rack to under the Camper.
Wire solar panels (I have them mounted on Yakima racks on my truck so I can get them in the sun while the camper is in the shade).
Much MOOORRE. THis site is great, but has SOOOOO many ideas that my head is spinning with what I should do next. We were gonna try a local campground this weekend but it snowed like crazy here (Denver) yesterday and gonna again on Sunday, so I guess we will wait awhile. BooHoo.

What size panels, and what size wire did you use to run from the panels back to the controller? I considered something similar, but didn't because the wire size needed to be heavier than a jumper cable, or else I would have suffered tremendous line-loss. Roof mounted my panels, instead.

Mine is still covered but in 2 weeks:
-Wood panels install on Fridge
-Fridge fans
-Wheel bearing repack
-PD converter install
-Winegard sensor pro tv amp with signal meter
-install pump on extra 26 gallon water tank for dry camping
-access door on the duramax for quick change fuel filter
I have all the parts just waiting for the weather to break. This is how I get through the winter, thinking and planning for all the things to do with the camper.

What meter did you use to monitor the 110 campground source?

I have two old BP panels that put out 8 amps at peak sun. So I use 10 gauge anchor marine wire with 2 25 ft sections so I can manage the voltage drop. It's amp dependent so battery cables are not necessary unless you have a lot of panels. The panels offset a typical days draw, usually, if I am careful. I have a 55ampcharger working off my Honda 2000 as backup.

Weather broke yesterday and I was able to uncover the trailer. I got in there and installed the wood panels on the fridge, installed an internal fan inside the fridge(the external ones go in next week), put in the Winegard sensor pro tv amp with signal meter, installed the pump on my extra 26 gallon water tank. I also used the 50 amp to 15 amp adapter I purchased at home depot which was great and saved me from dragging out the heavy 50 amp cord. Then I sat in there with a glass of wine, two more weeks to real camping....hitch itch!!!lol,,,,

You know its an unspoken rule in here that all mods require pics!
Just sayin!
