I fixed the backwards working faucets in the shower and the outside shower, converted the to shallow closet to shelves, removed the Windjammer by rockwood decals from the outside. I have some swivel bases on order to add to my La-Z-Boy reclin-a-rockers. Still looking at a couple of other little projects.

The weather is finally starting to get some what normal, so I went out and got some things installed on the camper today. I hung in the Spacemaker Coffee pot, which turned into a little bigger job than I thought it was going to be. I had to pull the microwave (i knew I had to do that), but I had to install blocking and swap a couple outlets around. Then I installed the cabinet door struts on the upward swinging cabinet doors. I also primed the awning tie down poles that OC was selling, I will paint them this week sometime.

Sorry no pictures yet, I will take some once I get everything done.

Things I have but still have to install:
2" receiver hitch on rear of camper
awning tie down kit
LED awning lights
lights in the storage compartments
equa-flex center link
2 scissor jacks in front of axles to try and stop the bounce

Just a thought, if you got any leftover pieces of pool noodles they work great for keeping stuff in the cabinets in place while travelin' down the road.

Really? Do you have pics? We have wide cabinets that I can't find long enough tension rods to fit!

V Cross Updates

Hey great thread
We are going into our second season with our unit and I wanted to list a couple of the updates I have done.
1) Added drag wheels to the back of the trailer as it seemed to drag on everything.
2) Updated the tv by changing the dinky 15" in the living area to a 32" and added a 22" in the bedroom
3) Added a computer and related equipment so we can watch a bunch of movies we have copied to a hard drive
This week end I added a clamp on receiver box to the rear bumper for a bike rack

Sorry, no pics. DW was always mentioning (complaining ) about dishes shifting, plastic glasses falling over, etc in our previous TT. I cut some pool noodles and just shoved them next to the stack of plates, between the plastic glasses and it worked out pretty good. Put a couple in the pantry too so cans would stay put and not fall out onto my toe when I opened the door after a bumpy ride.

Added an extension to the counter. And installed all new led lights. Picture are with no flash and just LEDs turned on.
Two $7.00 brackets and some screws and glue and a bamboo cutting board that was on top of our stove and the DW is happy.

DH fixed the screen door handle front plate by cutting some aluminum to fit over the broken plastic plate. Much sturdier!

Today, I removed the factory installed plastic sink and goose-neck faucet in the TT kitchen, and replaced them with a stainless steel sink with a Phister faucet with the pull-out hose faucet head.

Project was made difficult by the installation of the "dummy wall" inside the sink compartment, separating the under-sink storage from an outside storage compartment. The wall butted against the back edge of the sink, making it impossible to properly install the clips that hold the sink to the countertop. Finally got the clips in place, after much contortion, discomfort, and some appropriately foul language.....

Much nicer looking, more functional with the spray nozzle, and no longer a fear of cracking/damaging any plastic sink components....

Continued working on projects today... Our TT floorplan has the sink at the end of the kitchen counter, about 4" from the edge, and immediately adjacent to the fold-down sofa. On more than one occasion, something has splashed, sprayed.or spilled and spilled over onto the sofa.... very annoying!

A friend works manufacturing and installing custom counter tops, so I asked him to make a 3" x 32" "side-splash", to mount between the counter and the edge of the sink. He made it out of almost identical formica as the factory countertops - you really have to look to see that it's just a little bit lighter in color....

Today I mounted it, using my new biscuit joiner for it's first project. Four #20 biscuits along the length, and then one #10 at the back wall, along with three screws between the four biscuits, and a good dabbing of Gorilla Wood Glue, and it's already as solid as a rock! I had to cut the biscuit groove on the back wall by hand, as the joiner set too high when laid on it's side on the countertop, but that was easy with a Dremel cutter....

Now I just have to let it dry and cure, and then a bead of tan silicone sealant around it, and it will look like it was a factory job!!!!

Well, my wife is allowing me to change all clearance lights to LED bulbs, but doesn't want me to spend the money on tail/brake lights. In any event when we purchased our CC the drivers side tail had the license plate light and the plate hangers were broken so we took delivery with the standard no frill plate holder. This weekend, two weeks ago I purchased new tails/brake lights, both with license plate lights and hangers. Put the passenger side on with my decorator plate. As far as the lighting... I am running Silver Star bulbs and have picked up polished shim stock in approximate size of 8x12" and plan to cut it to fit the inside of the housing. Thanks for the tips.
