Anyone heard of a "Trailer Valet"?

Hello, we are new Sharock 21SS owner and I have been on this site search for ideas and mods. I was wondering if anyone has ever used "Trailer Valet". It sounds like an interesting idea. It's a hand crank trailer dolly. I have some tight turns to get my camper on the side of the house and I was thinking this may be better than trying to get in there with the Explorer. Anybody have any experiance with this dolly?

Looks like a multi-geared handcrank.

Put a front hitch on the Explorer, alot more control than the rear hitch, plus you can see where you're going.

So no one has ever used this? It would take me a bit of negotiations (read begging) with the wife but it does look like I could use the for my tight spots next to the garage.

Not a bad idea...compare prices for each, plus you could use a basket in the front of your tow rig to carry misc stuff as needed.

That looks pretty easy. I don't have that trouble if I let my wife back it up and I guide her on it other wise she can't guide worth a ****.

I live in a new neighbor hood that is an old style. We have alleys and our garage is off that so I can't store mine at home. Had a popup since 2001 and this is the first year I had to pay for storage so I have plenty of room to get it in my spot.

Unless I missed something in the video, there is no lateral (side to side) movement, just fore and aft. So you will still have to be right on as far as having the TT hitch in line with TV hitch.

It does have a steering handle, the guy is holding it with his left hand as he cranks it

ever try to turn a tandem axle trailer by hand ?
even tho it has a "steering lever I don't see cramming it into a turn and this thing going where you want .
maybe im wrong.

I use one similar for our boat; we also have a couple small tight/strategic maneuvers on a slight up hill to get it in the back yard. I can now move my trailer very simply by myself, mine is very slow and that’s good.
I know someone made mention of the tandem axle and that does make it tougher with sharp turns. We went from a single axle to a tandem axle and if the last movement on the trailer is a tight turn the trailer will try to straighten its self to relieve tension between axles.
We have had ours for 12 yrs with the only issue being the bolt on handle would come loose and break bolts(4 in 10yrs and always loosened). I finally welded it with a couple gussets added and now its stout , no more bolts. I use an offset-bolt-on –frame bracket because of a beautification strip of river rock down the middle of our drive way. Moving a trailer from the tongue with a ball would be more maneuverable. I bought ours from a company outside of LA(Ca) found them on the internet but have seen them in RV magazines. When I called he helped me pick the right model(3 pneumatic wheels/ ½ hp motor) with the correct gearing(something like ¼ ml/hr or slower) based on what I had and what I was trying to do with it(moving 60 ft total). I think mine is robust and functional but not fancy and as I recall it was $650, 12 years ago.

The leaver is the breaking system. I would not want to be in front of the trailer if it was on a hill and the breaks did not work. If you watch the video when he released the handle going down hill the boat really wanted to go.

its been a while since i bought but I could have gotten a break. As it is I make sure I have a 2x4 handy for the dolly and while that seems to be enough i still place chaucks on fenders ready to go. It seems to work for me but each should do for there own situation.

I see Cabelas is also selling them under the name triglobal jack, or should I say looks like the same thing.
