Anyone installed a reel for a 50amp power cord

I know I've heard folks talk about doing this but I've never seen where or how its mounted. I would like to somehow mount a reel of some sort to windup my power cord instead of just throwing it in the storage compartment.

Anyone done this?

I purchased the Mor-Ryde tall reel, very easy to use.

I like the reels. Will they work for cords that are attached or just separate?

I pull mine all the way off. Some of the more expensive power retract reels are hard wired.

My 5er came equipped with a reel for my 50amp cord....In Dec 2013 I went to pack up to go to Fl and I could not even fold it/coil it/whatever it was so stiff....0* that morning so I just threw it in the back of truck......Since then I installed two sliding storage bins in the storage area and now I just use the 50* cord when camping in warm weather..coil it up and put on top of storage bin.At home I use the short 50 to 20 amp pigtail and a regular extension cord to keep battery charged I also have a 30 amp power cord that I use at times....Reel went to the dump as I had no room for it....J

Installed a Harbor Freight air hose reel on the ceiling of basement on drivers side. It holds my 36 foot 50 amp cord with ease.

I noticed a small cable reel mounted in a new 5er yesterday and inquired about the price. Over $700.00. I then looked at the 50 amp cable that was on it and it was very flexible. My stiff as a board cable would never work on it.
I store my 50 amp cable in a heavy duty plastic lidded box that I store in the basement. I can remove the plastic box and set it between the power connector and breaker box when hooking up. I never have to remove the entire cable from the box and the box usually fits under my slideout to protect from rain.
I would consider getting a shorter flexible cable. Anyone know who sells them?

Not cheap but Glendinning 50 amp cable is like a noodle. I bought mine by the foot and terminated it myself.
