Automatic Fantastic Fan

Does anyone have experience with the FanTastic Ceiling Fan with built-in thermostat, automatic dome open/close switch & rain sensor? Does it really work when it rains???

Yes they work very well as said by jerry427 , My rig has two and the thermostats are remote mounted near my furnace thermostat so they are all together.

Works too well if you ask me. In Feb here in Gulf Shores we had extremely humid air and very cool to cold temperatures at night. Overnight a nice warm trailer and outside cold temps would cause condensation form on the inside of the vent cover. That condensation would drop down onto the rain sensor and prevent it from opening. I would have to put the vent in manual mode when I wanted to open it. Normally though it works great.

My work trailer has one in the front storage area and it works great. I have never had it not close in a rain storm. The only issue I have had is once in a while you have to reset the rain sensor after a storm, before it will open again.

We had a Fantastic Fan installed in place of the vent over the bed in our 3051S. Not sure if they had to chase wires or there were drop down wires already in place, but it works like a charm!

Another option for you is the Airxcel | Maxxair | Maxxfan

I have had one of these on my last 2 TT. Best thing since sliced bread. It operates while raining, integrated cover, and looks much better then putting one of the big rain covers on.

My 2 cents
