Awning for main slide

One of the great features of our Sandpiper 356RL is the five windows in the main slide. However, we had to keep the shades down most of the time because of the sun and heat build-up. Couple of weeks ago we had a 12' powered awning (same brand and color) installed. Just got back from a 5 day camping trip and am happy to report it works perfectly and is worth every penny. Here are some pics...

I saw a 5er at the local RV show that had that installed and I really liked it. I have been wanting to look into adding one to our slide for the same reason. If DW would hurry up and have our second DD I could get on with my planning of that

A&E, same brand and color as the big slide. $1833.00 drive-out and about 3 hours to install; best mod we have done yet.

James,
They tapped into the light over the dining table for power and mounted the switch in ceiling at the edge of the slide. We had to use wire molding to cover the wires because of the laminated ceiling, but you really don't notice it or the switch.

I like future mod to our 35ROK.

Should Manufacturer/dealer option, we would paid the extra.

Now if you had a set of awning tie down poles for those awnings that would push the mod over the edge!
