Hey, I was trying to get the double-tacky award, but I guess I'm just gonna hav'ta paint my pins black on my silver poles to qualify for maybe a single-tacky. Thought about barber-pole'n 'em, but changed my mind. Still work great, by the way...

Those with all alum poles should not paint them, but polish them! They look like chrome when polished.

BTW, anyone in Missouri that is wanting a set of alum poles, I have one set I was supposed to deliver to Goshen and the fellow couldn't make it and ask and got his money back. I will be heading down US Hwy 65 to 36 to 63 from north MO to Rolla next week. PM me for details.

But OC, years from now I want to be able to tell people that my poles still have the "original" aluminum patina with all the precious handling sheen and tool marks of the master craftsman.

I simply can't believe anyone would want to polish much less paint over their original OC poles. That'd be like painting over or spraying gloss on the Mona Lisa, it would be artistic catastrophe.

Yep, double deep, but you really deserve all the thanks and compliments that come your way for making these for your forum friends.

I had to stop painting, by request....... so, my poles exceed the length of the awning structure when the are stored/up. I didnt want to risk losing the feet. I drilled and tapped them to take a 10-24 machine screw just to set and hold them in place.

Now the only thing I need to do is set the height and strap them down

Now you know why I wanted to keep mine "original", he did mine as the custom deluxe collector's version with flush-mounted screw diamond plate aluminum foot-pads anchored by heavy-duty pop rivets. Art work, pure art work, notice the delicate rounded edge to the pads and the precision counter-sink to the base screw.

OC, I can't believe you have a set that is still available. Someone will notice this post and realize they better act fast. I was so-o-o-o-o lucky to get my set!!!

I think I've contacted everyone and your kit may allready have them or I'm shipping out the new pieces.

Bracket in raw form.

Completed.

What are the inside width dimensions of the top & bottom brackets? I'm in advance figuring mode for poles before my package arrives
