When I traded in my previous 2 1/2 year old TT one week after I had upgraded both axles, springs, wheels and tires (which raised the TT roughly 5-inches), the dealership asked me if I had 'flipped the axles', to which I had replied "No!".
They told me that had I 'flipped' the axles that they would not have accepted it in as a trade.
Food for thought...
edit: noticed that this is an old thread resurrected...
It was an old thread, never asked nor cared about my axles when I sold mine to the dealer.

Don't know why...but I'm guessing that they have their reasons.
I'm guessing they got screwed once by someone...
Depends on if they actually "flipped" the axle. You never flip an axle because they are cambered. If you are just moving an axle from above the springs to below the springs and weld on a new perch, that's a different story.
