BAL brand stabilizers

I picked up today a pair of bal brand stabilizers to install them on my rear 5er power stabilizer jacks .

For $103.00 I thought I would try them and see how they work even tho I am the king of making it if I can .

They look good for the price the only thing I see is that one end has a mounting tab on it with a rivet through it . I think I am going to drill it out and use a grade 8 bolt and locking nut instead since it has to swivel .

These are about 26 inches compressed and about 44 inches at max .

I think I am going to do a you tube installation video and post it to the web site.

Altho I may not get to it till the weekend as my dw is back in the hospital AGAIN !

I think they will serve the purpose and "look" to be heavy enough for the rears .

So anyone interested please stay tuned for my results .

What do they look like? Can the be used on a regular travel trailer like mine? The reason I ask is I am looking for heavier jacks for our trailer as last year one bent for no apparent reason.

Are you mounting them side to side or front to back?

I think front to back since my jacks "seem" to be stabile side to side in the rear.

We used 8 "home grown" ones on our 08 tt along with 2 Bal Wheel Chocks. The one time we've used the 5ver, the wheel chocks seemed to do the trick, I did put a set on the front landing jacks, but when we used the camper, I didn't tighten the lock bolts. Old people don't move around very fast, often or vigorously. I have 6 "home grown" ones in our storage shed if we do need them tho'.

If they sell for $103 dollars a pair in the States that probably means they will be $400 up here.I think I could build something similar for less.
