Had my six volts stolen last year. Bought a pair of the brackets Terier showed. They work fine. No problems since.

What is the advantage of 6volts compared to the 12volts that most trailers come with?

Probably referring to two 6 volt deep cycle batteries wired in series. I have a similar set up, two T-105 Trojan batteries. MUCH longer amp hours than a single or even some dual 12 volt battery setups.
