if you're going to all that trouble, put the battery box on a slide so you can just pull it out to service.
If you have the standard battery box, it's very tall campared to the battery height. It's also open vented. You might want to get an aftermarket box. One that's shorter and sealed, but with a vent connection. You should have it vented, preferably to the outside of the chasis.
