Lloyd, That's pretty cool!

I have been looking at this - If I didn't already have a good BBQ, this would be on the short list to purchase. $279 complete is not a bad price at all!

Camper Grill, portable camper grill, bumper mount

Lloyd. That is what the maker of the BBQ sells. It would be to low to work for me. I want something about waist level.
Thanks
Mike

I agree on the height issue....when I made the rail for our 5th wheel it actually was too high.....that's why you'll see in the pic with that thread where I had to step it down after it cleared the storage compartment door ....finally got it at a comfortable height.

I have one of these coming on the camper I ordered. Is there any concern about heat that close to the wall?

Roo. Seem's there are adjustments on them. However if it came equipped that way i am sure it is safe. Not like someone like me doing the install.

We had one on our rig. Sold it. Why? similar concerns - and not only the concerns about being so close to the RV side, the BBQ was (in my case) situated *under* the awning. That, to me, was a recipe for either disaster with a flare up or, at the least, a nasty clean up requirement after every cookout. This is why I am intrigued with the units that swing out from your bumper and are away from both the side of the camper and the awning.

Just my thoughts - YMMV

10 years on the side of two campers.
No heat issues or staining .

I didn't even think about the awning but fair point. I was more worried about the heat. I still ordered it as I wanted to make sure I had the track and the shelf. I wonder if there is something I could rig up behind it as sort of a heat deflector?
