Bike rack

On our last trip I saw a newer Chevy . pickup with a 2" recover mounted from the front bumper which had a bike rack in it . I was not able to talk to the owner about where he got the hitch . Has anyone seen or know if they can be purchased or is it a custom made item .

They are a fairly common add-on. You should be able to get one at any place that sells hitches.

I think this is what you're looking for: CURT Manufacturing - CURT Front Mount Hitch #31322
I just put a similar Curt front hitch on my Ram and got a Hollywood Racks Sport Rider rack for it.

search Amazon.com, you'll be glad you did,

Robot Check

also, this seems like a good time to ask, are there any "cons" to the front mounted bike rack? I've made a bike rack on my trailer tongue area, but was only able to so was because we don't use the propane and I removed the tanks. If I ever do return the tanks to that area the front rack would be my choice. Any words of wisdom from anyone who has tried the front mount rack, would be appreciated.

We had front bumper hitches on our trucks as a kid. They were great for launching a boat. But was a little hairy at 60 mph on the interstate lol

I personally would not want to block air flow to the radiator.

I've bought two of these from etrailer.com over the years. Good site and you can search by make/model of your truck.

Search ' Bodiak " , I have had one on my last two trucks . Also by putting a trailer hitch ball forward, many times you can work a trailer into or out of tight places .

I seen this hitch a few years ago. And when I got my new truck I wanted to put one on but could'nt find any more info on it . when I seen your post it reminded me of it and I still want one and again cant get any info on where to get one. Does anyone know if there still in business ? And where I might purchase one? thanks
