Bike rack for Freedom Express

Sorry for starting yet another thread about bike racks, as I know there are already a number of them. But, I'm hoping to get responses very specific to my particular TT.

As my sig shows, we have a 2014 Coachmen Freedom Express 50th Anniversary (236BHS).

I note in other threads that some people have posted pics of a sticker on the bumper which specifically says something to the effect of adding anything will void your warranty.

Ours doesn't have that sticker. In fact, there is a sticker on the back of the TT which shows a little picture of certain height and depth measures and refers to a weight limit (I want to say 135lbs) to not exceed the bumper capacity. To me, this would suggest that I could, in fact, add some type of rack to the back, but I'm not sure.

I would love to hear from any owners of the same model about whether they use bumper mounted racks, or even the tongue-mounted racks, as this is potentially my next go to.

I've explored various solutions, but part of the problem is that my wife and I just got new "cruiser" bikes - they are long and wide (we got these before the TT). The bikes are longer than the short truck bed of the RAM, so that is out. I don't feel like there is enough room inside once the slide is in, and I'm not interested in removing the front wheels each time (and the bikes have front fenders, which would make it even more of a pain). We could possibly put the kids bikes inside, but still need a solution for our bikes.

Any help in this area is appreciated.

Hello,
I mount our bikes on top of the Cab of the truck. Much safer than the back of the trailer. Have a Thule rack and bike mounts. My biker is a big 29 inch Rocky Mountain bike and wife has a 26 inch ladies Jamis touring bike. Works well!

I don't think the bumper on your Coachmen is any different or stronger than most other TTs so you're wise to look for other solutions.

Here is another option.

I thought about something like that, but my problem there is that the frame of my tonneau (a soft, roll-up) covers the holes in the bed, so I can't actually install anything like that.

Maybe if I custom built something that fit inside the bed, but raised up above the bed level...hmmm.

That is a front receiver hitch, with a standard bike rack for receiver hitches.

Don't know if you are the one I replied to in the past. My apologies if that is the case. Sometimes these threads start looking all alike!

I have seen these, but I'm not really comfortable putting the bikes on the front for a number of reasons.
