This is NOT aftermarket installable by any dealer, member, or retailer.

It must be available as a factory installed option ONLY. Your VIN MUST show it as being factory installed for Lippert to ship to a non OEM location.

I am trying to find out if ANY Forest River Product STILL advertises it as an option. They used to but I seem to remember that a large number of warranty problems resulted in it being dropped.

Standby as my source has not gotten back to me regarding this item as an available option.

I have the one rack installed on my trailer labeled as a bike carrier but it is just a pivoting cargo carrier.

I actually just came back in from putting a 2" receiver on the rear for a bike carrier.

Then why do they have a shopping cart option on the page? UPS ground to my address is only 14.39 - Not bad.

Look at the aftermarket tab on the page shown here:

Tailgate® Storage Systems

I quoted it when you posted in another thread but you must not have read it.

If you do decide to order it; let me know if they will ship to you.

I understand that the 'Discount Codes" block is just for dealers.

Wow here is a hitch you tow a boat behind you're 5er. I understand it NOt legal in lot states and wouldn't even attempt it but that's me..

I put my tote on the cargo carrier that the trailer came with along with two eu2000 without trouble so I'd hope the hitch would be just as good.

We had a Cougar 5th wheel that had the sliding bike rack from the factory.

It did not work well for holding the bikes, and it put the bumper so far behind the wheels that the spare tire kept dragging in driveway dips. Could have removed the tire but it wasn't a good bike rack anyway.

This is what I'm considering for a flip-down bike rack (which was an option on my unit). I'd like a pair of generators, a custom generator box, and a short power cord to go around the corner to my plug.

That was the problem with this rack as well. I had just kept the tire off when needing the rack. Now that the trailer was lighted it clears the ground by a foot or more.

It does work well for this. I have not used a short cord but I had thought about doing something like this to keep the trailer cool between stops.. Boy what a storm that would start, not only do I run my propane while traveling, I tow with a chevy diesel AND I run a generator while driving!!

Are you kidding? That's EXACTLY why I want this setup! I would turn on the A/C a couple of hours before our destination and have a nicely cooled camper when we got there.

Plus, after pulling an all-nighter at work, I napped in the camper at a truck stop while the family went in and got lunch. I would have loved a generator to dump cool air into the bedroom. Instead, I slept in stagnant heat.

I agree, nothing like stopping for lunch in the south and heading into a 99 degree trailer....

EDIT: My plug is along the side of my trailer. Is yours on the rear?
