Not cheap, responsible and resourceful!! At least that's how I'm spinning my yak rack with bike storage. Had the tools so why not. The money I saved paid for some extra camping! I like your idea.

It looks like you changed the plywood. What thickness did you use?

Didn't change the plywood, just drilling a couple thumb-holes for lifting it.
