Bunk Cage Ideas?

Hi,

We have a 13 month old son, and Im looking for options on how to contain him in his bed. We are picking up our windjammer 3006 in a few days and i need to come up with something for his bed so he doesnt crawl out if it. A play pen isnt an option as we want him in his own room at night, (plus it takes up too much room in the main area)

Just wanted to see what others have done.

thanks

Just put a good kiddie gate across the doorway and childproof the bunkhouse. Nothing wrong with him playing in the room. You can always put a railing on the side of the bed like an upper bunk, but then all you did is the make the fall out of bed to the floor that much further when (not if) he crawls over the railing. Put something soft on the floor for him to fall on as well.

We have an expandable railing made for toddler beds, it works great. It's got two arms that slide under the mattress.

How about just putting a mattress on the floor for him to sleep? And if bunkhouse doesn't have a door, baby gate him in.
