Bunkhouse mods

Added a fancy toe step to help get up into upper bunk. I took the girls to a nice lumber yard and allowed them to pick out some expensive pieces. We got some Purple Heart and something else, I might have just got a nice piece of walnut but they had fun. They had never seen so many different types of wood I had them pick up a monster 6x6x 6 piece of Balsa, they were amazed. 40$ for the two small pieces, dont tell mom.
I added D/C outlets and a small storage, for electronics/phones, to upper and lower bunks. The outlet was to deep for the bottom bunk so I used some left over Purple Heart for a standoff. I think the standoffs real makes them look great. I pulled the power from the D/C lights.
Kids seem to like it all and no more wires and running out and around.

Looks good! My kids just jump on the lower bunk and bounce up, they probably need a step on that side too.

I like the step idea! Much less in the way than a ladder. I see 6 screws? How did you determine where to place these?

I placed the screws by finding the stucture(studs) behind the thin wall. I used a stud finder but you could just knock on the wall listining for something solid.
