I guess it's just as satisfying the second time we dump it!

Like the "Ole Coot" ------------

Like the "Ole Coot" I use the 45° clear elbow also. It stays in place all the time. I have also installed 3" nylon boat cleats with Stainless steel screws
to help remove the cap. A little Vaseline on the gasket and gasket surface
helps in removal & installation of cap.

We also use Angel Soft "T" paper from Wally-World. It is septic tank safe and will break down in 6-7 hours completely. Tested some in a glass of water, completely dissolved over night. I also use three packets of dishwasher detergent with the water softener when recharging after dumping. Also used the orange chemical from Wal-Mart (best price).

Like the handle idea, will fab one and install. Don't agree with the Vaseline for lube, but do use Danco Silicone grease.

Good idea for the handle DAISY BOYKIN!

my 45* clear elbow doesnt seem to fit tight. no major leaks, but a few annoying drips. any ideas? get new elbow? it doesnt go drip drip drip, but more drip.......... drip.........drip etc until finished. i use the rinse hose afterwards while whistling a happy tune hoping nobody notices and thinks im just being clean for the next person.

Suggest removing the elbow, remove/clean the gasket, clean the gasket surface on the elbow AND the sewer connection, apply silicone GREASE to both surfaces and a liberal amount on the gasket and re-assemble.

I have the 45* with hose flush. I'm usually the only one that dumps but on our last trip, my youngest (9 years old with Aspergers Syndrome) watched and giggled as it emptied. Then as I back filled the tank to flush it, he offered to hold the hose to keep the flush water in. My black tank is not in line with the dump valve and I've found that by holding the hose up, I can get more water into the tank.

This is what we use, although I am abit on the anal side and doin the do in our unit is not allowed unless it is an emergency. That is what CG toilets are for so cleaning our black tank is not much fun watching a bit of toilet paper go by in the water.
